Caran D'Ache Luminance color pencils feature a soft lead, which is waterproof and provides maximum coverage power, with high concentration of pigments for bright and intense colors.
It has a soft, smooth and permanent 3.8 mm lead, which is waterproof and has maximum coverage power and a high concentration of pigments for bright and intense colors. This lead requires the use of a very sharp pencil sharpener. The pencils are round and made of 8 layers.

It can be used for high demands by both artists and creative professionals. These pencils are complementary to the Artist, Pablo and Supracolor range.
The pencils are made from the finest round cedar and the sealed end is the same color as the strap. They are also marked with the color name and code for easy reference.

You can use these pencils for many techniques. The smooth lead is recommended for blending and grading, blending, shading and buffing with a white pencil. These pencils come in a cardboard box which is useful for storing pencils when not in use.
